EOCA: Life in Nature

EOCA13

These photos were taken over a 3 day period in Coeur d ‘ Alene Idaho. The photos of the lake were taken on the Coeur d’ Alene Lake scenic drive.  I used a solid color filer to get a blue effect. Then I did a little bit of color touch uo and really made it orange and blue. I want people to fell peace and serenity when they see this photo. This collection of photos is my large depth of field photos
EOCA12This photo was also taken on lake Coeur d’ Alene Scenic Drive. On this photo U used a little bit more of a solid blue filter.

EOCA11The photo above was again taken on Lake Coeur d’ Alene. I used less of a blue filter, but I did use a much higher level of a gradients filter. I was going for the very hipster effect. I wanted people to look at the photo and go WOW I would love to ride that jeep around that lake.

EOCA4The photo above was taken with an eight second shutter on top of the Coeur d’ Alene Resort part Lot. I really wanted people to be able to see this photo and realize we have this beautiful town just smack in between the woods and the lake. I used a solid Blue Filter then turned it to Overlay so it was not as dominant.

EOCA3

Just as the photo before it was taken on top of the Resort parking lot. It was also taken with an 8 second shutter speed. I want people to be amazed. EOCA5
This photo was taken on top of the Coeur d’ Alene Resort Parking Garage facing South toward the lake. I used a tannish blue filer to achieve the blue effect. I also used an eight second shutter.

EOCA8 This second collection of photos is my slow shutter speed life in nature section. I wanted to be on top of 95 to get a view of the city through the mountain but unfortunately the city lights from that vantage were a little bit weak so I turned my camera around and shot the trucks and cars just whizzing past the beautiful scenery. Truly showing how we live in nature. On all of these photos I used a eight second shutter. EOCA7

The majority of the slow shutter speed photos were taken around 10 O’clock at night with an eight second  shutter speed!Eoca6

This was an very extra ordinary experience because for once I had a car coming at me at the same time that a car was driving into town. I used an eight second shutter speed and I used a solid blue  fill to give it a night effect because the long shutter speed really  lightened it too.EOCA2

Although this photo appears to be in day light it was pitch black outside. With a long shutter speed. The light to the far right of the photo is the head lights of my jeep. EOCA!

This photo was one of my favorite ones as well as  my first long shutter speed with a a camera basically ever!! I would like to take many of these photos in the future peace out high school photography!!!

Best Photo’s

oceanThis photo was taken n july the summer of 2010. My family was taking a hike along the oregon trail. I had my camera with me to take mainly family photos no intentions on taking photos of landscape, but as I came to the opening when the trail hit the ocean I couldn’t help myself. When I was home and loaded these photos I edited them. I had mainly family and a few landscapes as well as macro flowers. When I cam across this gem I didn’t do anything. the blues and red in the rock did enough I didn’t have to add anything.

IMG_3752This next photo was taken in January of 2013 I was at Coeur d’ alene lake view point. I took this photo to be apart of my EOCA last semester.  I really enjoy this photo visually because e it shows the snowy mountain as well as the mountains on the other side of the lake. That day was unusually clear blue and clear. The lake was glass. On the other side of the lake the sun was shinning so all the snow was melted and everything was brown.

DSC_0261This photo was taken in the spring of 2010. I was on the island of Maui in Hawaii. we were taking the scenic road of Hana. the road took you around the most of the island. This photo shows the islands edge as well as an old  catholic church. I find this photo amazing because of the colors it includes. DSC_0389As well as scenic photos I find that my favorite images tend to be of my dogs. This is a rare photo of my dogs, we were headed to the dog park in the spring of 2010 I was in the passenger side hanging my camera out of the window as I turned around I noticed that both of my dog were hanging out the window as I stared in disbelief we went over a bump scaring my smaller dog. As we proceeded on my older dog Cindi placed her head on Goldis to show protection and continued to calm her. this photo to me shows the unconditional love these animals have.

DSC_0037This is also an image of Cindi Lou. she is my 9 year old golden retriever. I was camping with my mother alone. and we were a little bit scared of being alone. With my dogs sensing our fear she dug a few holes and lay inside facing the road. When ever a car would drive by she would get up and bark. After awhile I found it amusing, eventually she started to nuzzle down even more cover her whole face in dirt.

shelllThis was taken in the fall of 2012 inside of Coeur d’ Alene High school photography studio.  This is a photo of one of  my dear friends Rashell that I have known since pre kindergarden. If you were to know this girl you would know that she has one of the most contagious  laugh that you will ever hear. This is a magical moment because I was just telling her about an old memory and she just bust up laughing.

IMG_0856This is also A photo of my dear friend Mariah Lynn. I met her in 3rd grade and she will not  leave me alone ever since.  she went from a very un attractive 3rd grader to a very beautiful high school. This just (to me) shows her real character and unforgettable charm.

101_4222This photo was taken in the fall of 2009. It was taken on one of the private dock on the Coeur d’ Alene lake. Right off of Coeur d’ Alene drive.  I took this for an assignment in freshman photography. I love this photo for many reason. it shows the dock the water the sunset the mountain line and the silhouette of an old friend.

7 This is in Orlando Florida at Walt Disney World Resort . This was taken as I was walikng toward the exit. The Castles light would change every couple of minutes. As I turned arounf I realized that the  color had changed so I slowed down my shutter speed and found this magical photograph.

BallCandy2This was taken for a candy project an up close image of the yummy mouth watering candy balls.

_MG_3981This was taken the winter of 2013 of my good friend Rashell and her 4 year boyfriend kyle it was taken in her back yard and was taken with a few studio lights to enhance the feature on thir face with out washing out the background.

Construction: DIY Jewelry Frame

Jewerly

So I started To collect jewelry when i grew fingers, yes my mother was buying me jewelry in the womb! Every since then I have started to create my own jewelry such as spoon rings and bracelets and necklaces.
InsideBoxThis is the inside of my jewelry box that shows all the boxes stuffed full. FrameI then went to an antique shop and bought this 100 year old picture frame. it had no back and was split in multiple places. I then proceeded to Home depot and bought chicken wire. I stapled the chicken wire the the back of the frame and proceeded to work.

RibbonI the went to Jo Ann’s  and bought lace that I will later weave into the chicken wire to be able to hook small earrings into

Hi, I am Laura

LauraSo I am trying out a new way to edit photos! it is WAY over the top but it is fun for making photos look funky and I have notice that Brady Campbell has used a lesser version to achieve a similar effect. I got the idea here> http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/photo-effects/photos-hipster-photoshop/?singlepage=1

Movie Poster “SUMMER LOVE”

SUMMER LOVE
This is my wonderful movie poster “SUMMER LOVE” the whole thing is based off of the the love that two Idahoans can share in one summer. With their cowboy boots and love for horses what could possible go wrong. when the main character Felecia Pollos “Melissa” falls in love with co-star Channing Tatum playing “Larry” the summer air heats up as they ride into the sunset and predetermined death.

I used a lot of txt layers and i used iris blur to produce the focal point of the photo.

Film Noir

IMG_4834FILM FILM2

These Film Noir photos really show the lonely sad life that a young woman lives in the CDA.

As she walks the beach of Coeur d’ Alene she can feel the resentment in everyones eyes.

knowing they all want her dead.

As she convulses in the corner as she cries know no one will love her.
